Product Description
Small-orifice silencers belong to the jet‑type noise‑reduction category, with their core principle being noise attenuation through small‑orifice jetting. By exhausting high‑pressure gas streams through a dense array of tiny holes, the large‑scale jet noise is fragmented into numerous micro‑jets, thereby altering the noise spectrum and shifting audible sound into an inaudible ultrasonic range, resulting in substantial noise reduction. These devices are widely used in applications such as boiler steam venting, pipeline blowdown, and high‑pressure gas discharge, and are well suited to high‑temperature, high‑pressure gas flow conditions. They feature excellent resistance to high temperatures and pressures, a simple structure, and a long service life.
Note: Small-orifice silencers are primarily used for steam venting and exhaust applications and are generally not employed directly for routine airflow noise reduction at fan inlets and outlets.
