What conditions should be met for the selection of compensators in the heating network pipeline:

The reliability of the compensator is composed of design, manufacture, installation and operation management. Reliability should also be considered from these aspects. Material selection for the heating pipe network of corrugated pipe material selection, in addition to the work of the medium, the working temperature and the external environment, should also consider the possibility of stress corrosion, water treatment agent and pipe cleaning agent on the material, and so on, and on this basis, combined with the bellows material welding, forming and material performance price ratio, preferably choose economical and practical bellows material.

In general, the choice of corrugated pipe material should meet the following conditions:

(a) High elastic limit, tensile strength and fatigue strength to ensure the normal operation of the bellows.

(B) Good plasticity, convenient for the processing and forming of the bellows, and sufficient hardness and strength can be obtained through subsequent treatment processes (cold hardening, heat treatment, etc.).

(C) better corrosion resistance, to meet the requirements of the bellows in different environments.

(d) It has good welding performance and meets the requirements of the welding process of the bellows in the production process. For the thermal pipe network laid in the trench, when the compensator is located in the pipeline with low terrain, rainwater or accidental sewage will soak the bellows, and materials with stronger corrosion resistance, such as iron-nickel alloy and high-nickel alloy, should be considered. Due to the relatively high price of such materials, when manufacturing bellows, it can be considered to add a layer of corrosion-resistant alloy only on the surface in contact with corrosive media.

The fatigue life design can be seen from the failure type and cause analysis of the corrugated compensator. The plane stability, circumferential stability and corrosion resistance of the corrugated pipe are related to its displacement, I .e. fatigue life. Too low fatigue life will lead to metal bellows stability and corrosion resistance decreased.
